Sunshine, smiles, and great food could only mean one thing: it was time for Govtech's annual summer BBQ 2026. Returning to Ingleside House in Cirencester, the team, along with some of our Netcall colleagues, enjoyed a fantastic afternoon catching up, celebrating successes, and making more great memories together away from the day-to-day demands of work.
Bringing everyone together in person is always a highlight of the year. While we work closely every day, with team members based across different locations, the BBQ provides the perfect chance to reconnect, swap stories, share a few laughs, and reflect on everything we've achieved over the past 12 months. Away from meetings and Teams calls, it was an opportunity to simply enjoy each other's company.

Of course, no Govtech gathering would be complete without Alan's infamous quiz, which once again tested our general knowledge, teamwork and ability to confidently give completely incorrect answers! As always, there were plenty of laughs and a little healthy competition along the way.
We might be a little biased, but we genuinely think Govtech is a great place to work and a pleasure to deal with. Afternoons like this are a reminder that we're one team, enjoying each other's company and working towards a shared goal: providing Automation Made Simple for council’s Revenues & Benefits teams.
